We were delighted to welcom our new graduate student, Arefeh Sadeghi, today. Welcome to St. John's, Newfoundland - and to Canada! Wishing you all the best in your studies and this exciting new chapter of life!
We had a small house party to celebrate the end of 2022-2023 academic year - joint event between the Park lab and the Mayengbam lab. Drs. Wilson, Kakumani, and Brown joined us too. Everyone contributed for food and drinks. What fun times!
Jae's postdoc advisor, Dr. Albert Berghuis, visited Memorial to give the Brosnan Lecture. There were other fun activities as well. Brunch at the Pantry, visiting the National Historic Sites Signal Hill and Cape Spear Lighthouse, learning some natural and cultural history at the Rooms, and a dinner with former colleagues at the Mallard Cottage. Was fun-packed two days!
Conveniently, Sean and Vishal's birthdays are only a day apart. Two birds with one stone! Was a great time as always.
Mackenzie dropped by her old lab after her graduation ceremony. You know you are always welcome here. All the best with your future endeavours!
We met up in downtown to celebrate Naomi's arrival. Looking forward to working with you for the next few years, Naomi!
