Jae Gonzales (he/they) is a queer Filipino performer, writer, and artist. He recently received his BFA in Theatre & Performance from Simon Fraser University. Jae recently created, directed, and performed in Paper Trails, an audience-interactive performance exploring grief and loss. Paper Trails premiered at SFU’s 2025 Live Acts Festival. His recent performance credits include Zoë Braithwaite’s The Mechanics of Intimacy and Erika Latta’s Strange Joy. His recent stage management credits include Are You Thinking What I’m Thinking? by Rosemary Morrison and (Machine) Learning to Be; a Data Fluencies Theatre Project and Theatre Conspiracy co-production. Jae primarily works in devised and verbatim theatre, using performance to create, bridge, and repair relationships with and within the world.
