What is "La castanyada"?
"La castanyada" Is in English: The Castanyada. The castanyada is a very typical festival of Catalonia. In this festival people eat chestnuts. Chestnuts is fruit of autumn. People don't eat chestnuts in a plate, it are eat on a "Paperina" it is made of cone-shaped folded newsprint. The party is celebrated specifically on October 31. Normally the castanyada is celebrated with the family or friends. We celebrate the castanyada to celebrate the arrival of autumn.
