A short story I first wrote when I was 12 years old, and entered into the Haslet Young Writers Competiton. After winning 1st place out of thousands of students, I swore to myself I would keep working and developing this story until it becomes publishable. It may never be perfect, but it was the first piece I'd ever written that made me feel accomplished.
