Policies for Mobile Service

Legal Disclaimer and Liability Waiver
Jack’s Small Engine Service (“we” or “us”) is not responsible for any damage that may occur during transportation, on-site diagnostics, or repair procedures, including but not limited to damages resulting from pre-existing conditions, unforeseen mechanical issues, or circumstances beyond our control such as fire, theft, or loss while equipment is in our custody or during transport. We handle all equipment with care; however, customers acknowledge that mobile repair, transportation, and diagnostic procedures inherently carry risks. Customers accept these risks, including the possibility that equipment may sustain additional or irreparable damage.

Terms and Conditions:

• Non-Refundable Diagnostic Fee: A minimum $50 non-refundable diagnostic fee applies to all equipment serviced on-site or picked up for repair.
  
  

• Mobile Service and Transportation Fees: Mobile service fees cover technician travel and on-site diagnostics, starting at $50 for locations within 15 minutes one-way, increasing by distance as per our service fee schedule.
  Pickup and/or delivery fees start at $40 per trip and may increase based on distance. If equipment must be returned to Jack’s Small Engine Service due to non-payment or failure to retrieve, an additional transportation fee will apply. Jack’s Small Engine Service is not liable for any damage or loss that occurs during transportation due to vehicle accidents, equipment falling off trailers, theft, vandalism, or other incidents while equipment is in transit or in our care.
  
  

• Storage Fees: A $30 daily storage fee applies starting 48 hours after the customer is notified that repairs are complete. Notification will be provided via phone, email, or SMS based on customer contact information. Equipment not retrieved within 14 days after notification will be considered abandoned, and ownership will transfer to Jack’s Small Engine Service.
  
  

• Unclaimed Equipment and Disposal Fee: Equipment left unclaimed after 7 days will be deemed abandoned property and may be disposed of or repurposed at our discretion. A $75 disposal fee applies if the customer requests the disposal of unwanted equipment.
  
  

• Warranty on Repairs: Repairs are provided on an as-is basis with no warranty on parts or labor from Jack’s Small Engine Service.
  
  

• Scope of Work Approval: Repair work will begin only after the customer approves the estimated cost. If additional repairs are necessary as discovered during diagnostics, further approval will be requested.
  
  

• Environmental Fees: Environmental fees may be applied to cover the safe disposal of hazardous materials, such as oil and filters, typically ranging from $5 to $25.
  
  

• Non-Repairable Equipment: If equipment is deemed non-repairable, the diagnostic fee still applies. Customers may choose to have the equipment returned or disposed of by Jack’s Small Engine Service.
  
  

• Financial Responsibility: A $50 fee applies to any returned checks. Deposit amounts are at the technician’s discretion and vary based on services performed. Accounts will be placed in collections  after  7 days of non-payment and assessed a 45% collections fee

• Payment Terms: Full payment is due upon completion of mobile service or at time of pickup/drop-off unless other arrangements are made in advance. Equipment will not be released until full payment is received. Failure to pay in full may result in storage fees or disposal if the equipment is unclaimed. If equipment must be returned to our facility due to non-payment, an additional transportation fee applies.
  
  

• Policy Changes: Jack’s Small Engine Service reserves the right to modify or amend these policies at any time without prior notice.
  
  

By requesting service from Jack’s Small Engine Service, you acknowledge and agree to all posted terms and conditions. Proceeding with service constitutes your acceptance of this legally binding agreement.
