student leader • aspiring investment banker • aspiring member of parliament
My name is Jace Johan Gibson, and I am an ambitious 11th grader and Prefect at Central Eleuthera High School in Eleuthera, The Bahamas. I am an aspiring investment banker with a strong passion for finance, economics, leadership, and public service. My long-term vision is to build a successful career in the financial sector before serving my country through public leadership, with aspirations of becoming a Member of Parliament and, ultimately, Minister of Finance.
To prepare for this journey, I plan to pursue higher education in the United States by earning an Associate’s Degree in Political Science, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, and ultimately a PhD in Finance. Through this academic foundation, I aim to develop the financial expertise, analytical thinking, and leadership skills necessary to contribute to both the private and public sectors.
From an early age, I have been fascinated by how businesses grow, how financial markets operate, and how sound economic policies influence national development. This curiosity has inspired my ambition to pursue a career in investment banking, where I hope to help organizations make strategic financial decisions, create long-term value, and gain valuable experience in global finance. Beyond the financial sector, I have a strong passion for politics and public service, with aspirations of one day serving in Parliament and contributing to the development of economic policies that promote sustainable growth, fiscal responsibility, and greater opportunities for the people of The Bahamas.
Beyond academics, I actively seek opportunities that develop my leadership and communication skills. I enjoy public speaking, serving as a Master of Ceremonies, graphic design, and leading projects that create a positive impact within my school and community. These experiences have strengthened my confidence, adaptability, and commitment to serving others.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring current events, and continuously expanding my knowledge of finance, economics, business, and government. I also enjoy watching proceedings of the House of Assembly, where I follow parliamentary debates and discussions to better understand governance, policymaking, and the legislative process. I believe that every experience presents an opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for future challenges.
This portfolio reflects my journey, accomplishments, and aspirations. It showcases the experiences that have shaped me as a student, leader, and future finance professional, while also reflecting my commitment to public service. I invite you to explore my achievements and extracurricular involvement as I continue working toward a career dedicated to strengthening organizations, advancing economic growth, and making a meaningful contribution to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
