Welcome!
I'm a recent graduate of the Masters of Public Health program at the University at Buffalo. I was in the Online Individualized program where I have taken courses that focus on community health behavior, behavior change, and nutrition. I also received my bachelors in Public Health from the University at Buffalo where a majority of our course work centered around infectious and chronic disease prevention. My goal as a future public health professional is to work in the area of population nutrition with special interests in increasing awareness of eating disorders and improving food access in underserved areas.
Growing up, my answer to the question, "what do you want to be?" was always focused around improving lives in one way or another. Whether it was wanting to be a mime, a chef, a teacher, a bio-medical engineer, and now a public health professional, my life goal has been to make others feel better. In my sophomore year at UB, I took my first public health course and immediately fell in love with the concepts and values associated with the practice. From there everything began to snowball with each course and learning experience until it all fell into place. Now as a soon to be graduate, I found my public health niche in the area of community health and population nutrition where I'm determined to turn my goals into a reality.
