Nogul and Spalted Red Oak Watch Box
This watch box features a rare Spalted Red Oak Burl that has been cut and book matched to create a mirrored grain effect. The sides are Nogal (Peruvian Walnut) and accented with Crepe Myrtle. The finest of watches would be proud to rest here.
Spalting is a phenomenon found when fungi infiltrate the wood. The fungi bleach the wood and create the unique black lines when they die. Finding it in a piece of wood this figured is extremely rare and unbelievably beautiful.
Even the "Brasso" hinges and velvet watch pillows are carefully chosen to last decades.
