About Me

My name is Izzy Metcalf, and I am a 21-year-old college student in southwest Louisiana. I adore the unusual and first learned about axolotls when I was in high school at about age 15. My younger brother actually was the one who told me about them, as they, at the time, had been his latest fascination. I was interested, but pretty much brushed it off as most older sisters would do when their brothers go off on long, never-ending tangents about something or another (and it was always something new every week!)

At 18 my own curiosity in them sparked and I was immediately hyper-fixated on the research on them. I kid you not, I spent days and days non-stop reading every article I could find on them, taking notes (I filled several notebooks up), and nagging my mother about them since I found them amazing.

And here I am today, ready to take the next step in my journey. I am now a novice breeder! Huzzah!

I sell axolotls locally within Calcasieu Parish (SWLA), offer to ship, and even plan to start attending reptile shows across Louisiana and possibly Texas, too. With today's fancy-schmancy technology I can safely ship axolotls anywhere in the United States where they are legal to be kept and imported (see Policies).

I will have a wide variety of phenotypes in the future, so stay tuned. When I get going and begin listing individuals for sale, make sure to check in the descriptions for parental information, genetic information, birthdays, etc. I will do my best to provide as much information as possible on my babies (when it is known). 

I am available to talk via email, text, phone, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram (all of this information is at the very bottom of this page) during my operating hours on the Home page. I am also planning on making a TikTok account at some point for you to enjoy watching our journey, as well as the occasional educational video.
