There once was a young couple so cute that they got stopped everywhere they went and people said how adorable they were. We all have a couple that comes to mind when I said that, that is exactly like this couple. The man, Carl, and the woman, Isabella, met at a very young age in a diner off Highway 65 in Alabama . She was with her girlfriends getting a milkshake and he was all by himself grabbing a quick bite to eat. She was wearing a cute with tank top with her hair curled and pinned half-up. They saw each other and instantly knew that they would spend their whole life together. Carl had walked up to Isabella and began to ask her about her life.
Carl: What is your name, ma'am?
Isabella: My name is Isabella and what is yours?
Carl: My name is Carl but I am having to go. Is there anyway I can get your number? I would like to get to know you more.
Isabella wrote her name and number down on a napkin. When Carl walked out all the girls started to scream and giggle. They were so jealous and happy for her. Time passed quickly after they started to hang out. Every day seemed like a blessing and they couldn't imagine their life without each other, so they got engaged.
They got married in a little chapel where there were lilies and tulips planted outside in the garden. She wore a stunning white lace dress with a train. It was two feet long and she had her nieces hold it. Everyone cheered them on and tossed rice at them as they ran to their car. They were so happy and couldn't imagine a better life, as they smiled and gazed into each other's eyes. Both sides of the family were there and happy about the marriage. Everyone from Isabella's side told her how lucky she was to have a strong man and everyone told Carl how lucky he was because of how beautiful she was.
Carl was being deployed by the Army and Isabella couldn't imagine him leaving for that long but she accepted it. They tried to spend all the time they could and did things they had always wanted. They left Alabama for a week and headed to Colorado. They went backpacking through many mountains. They went swimming in beautiful rivers, where the water sparkled and winked at you. They slept under Colorado stars and dreamed about times after the war. Stars were a symbol of their love. They always saw shooting stars when they were together.
After their adventures, he left for deployment. She watched him walk away with his uniform on and backpack ready to go. Isabella found out she was pregnant with twins and was so excited that she wrote to her husband. She wrote:
Dear Carl,
While we had so many fun adventures this summer, we will be
bringing more adventures into the world with two twin boys. I
can't wait to show you the ultrasounds and for you to hear the heartbeats.
We love you,
Isabella
Before Carl could get her letter, he was on a mission when an airstrike hit where he was on the mission. Carl never got to find out he was having twins. The night that Carl died, Isabella had a terrible dream that Carl was injured and died in the battle field. She felt so weird and lonely but she knew he would be home soon. Isabella found out the next day about her beloved husband. She was so heartbroken that she ran off to a small town where a pastor helped raised her children. He was so gentle and kind with her children that he taught the twins war songs. He taught them about their brave father who fought for their freedom. She reminds them that daddy is up in the stars looking down on us. He is always in the stars to help us.
Author's Notes:
I wanted to show a story that was like Sita and Rama's love but with a healthier relationship. Rama sees Sita and wants to make her his wife because she is so beautiful. They have a somewhat complicated love. He was taken to a forest and Sita follows. She is taken by Ravana and Rama has to find her and fight for her love. He finds her and she declares after a few months that she is pregnant but he believes her but gossip around around the town makes it difficult to stay with her. He wants them to respect him. He leaves her. She was banished to a village where a man helps raise her children and he teaches them hymns of Rama and they sing of him.
Like this story, Carl and Isabella love each other deeply, they had children together and then the man leaves for some reason. I took those key items and made a story of my own. Some aspects of love, children and loneliness were included that are in both stories. It is both a sad and a happy story where love was true but death is also. Live life to the fullest. I think my story captures the essence of Sita and Rama.
