From 1st to 14th January 2025, the Library Department organized a series of engaging events under the theme "Wachan Sankalp Maharshtracha" at the Library’s main reading hall.
The initiative began on 1st January with a Reading Activity, encouraging students to take a reading pledge and participate in sustained reading sessions. On 3rd January, the department commemorated Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Jayanti, celebrating the contributions of India’s first female teacher through readings and discussions.
On 8th January, a special literary interaction event titled "लेखिका तुमच्या भेटीला" was conducted, offering students an opportunity to engage with a woman writer. The celebrations concluded on 14th January with a "Rare Book Exhibition", showcasing valuable and historical texts preserved in the library collection. The events witnessed active participation with 20, 20+, 56, and 52 attendees respectively, reflecting a strong enthusiasm for reading and literary culture among students.
On 4th April 2025 Aaj Ki Baat session was held in the library's main reading hall between 3:45 PM to 4:00 pm. Mr. Laxman Varma from SYJC-Arts discussed the topic titled "Indian Seafood Exporters Get the 'Sinking' Feeling." The discussion shed light on the challenges currently faced by Indian seafood exporters, particularly due to rising international tariffs and declining demand in global markets.

Later, Mr. Subrat Kumar Sahoo, from the Department of Economics, elaborated on the broader effects of tariffs on the lives of Indian people. He explained how import-export duties influence pricing, employment, local industries, and the cost of living, providing an insightful economic perspective to the topic.
On 28th January 2025, Library Staff Mubina Ansari Conducted a lecture on “Career in Library and Information Science” between 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM in Urdu Classroom No. 02, Bhasha Bhavan organized by Urdu Department. The session aimed to introduce students to the courses and career opportunities available in the field of Library and information Science. A total of 24 students attended the session, which covered the scope of the profession and its relevance in the digital age. After the lecture, students were given a practical demonstration on book circulation processes, including issuing, returning. The session was informative and well-received by the students.
On 24th and 25th November 2024, a demonstration session on N-LIST Activation and Access to E-Resources was conducted. The session aimed to familiarize students of MA History and TYBA History students with the National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST) program, which provides access to a wide range of e-books, e-journals, and other academic resources.
Reading Inspiration Day is celebrated every year on 15th October to honor the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. At Ismail Yusuf College, we celebrated this day with great enthusiasm and a shared passion for books. The event aimed to promote the joy of reading and inspire participants to explore the boundless world of knowledge and creativity through literature.

On 1st July 2024, it was conducted between 11.20 to 11.30 am in the Library main reading room. SYBMS student Mr. Sayyad Mohammad Spoke on types of investments including Mutual fund and stocks. He was inspired by a Forward: ‘Where to invest in 2024’ written by Editor-in-Chief Mr. Rajeev Dubey in the Fortune India magazine of January 2024.
