DETAILS:
The University of Incarnate Word is hosting the Army Educational Outreach Program: MegaGEMS Unite Research Camp. MegaGEMS started in 2019 and consists of a four-week camp high-caliber research with hands-on experience. The camp is geared towards Freshman and Sophomore students. The program is free and students receive stipends at the end of their research to cover food/transportation costs. MegaGEMS exposes young women to programming, coding, and robotics incorporating chemistry, mechanical engineering, and programming language Python. Students in the MegaGEMS Research Camp created their own research projects and posters and presented their research at the GEMS banquet.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applications accepted from female students in the San Antonio area, rising 9th through 12th grade, who are eager to explore their intellectual curiosity through hands-on research in ground and air robotics and utilizing Artificial Intelligence in research.
