DoSeum students explore a wide variety of fields over the course of their service, including finance, marketing, retail, education, and exhibits. The program qualifies as an internship because of the workload and the professional development students receive. DoSeum internships are unpaid, and students are expected to complete 150 hours of service per school year, attend 4 professional development training courses and undertake a summer project that will be presented at the end of summer. Each student in the program will receive the presidential service award, one-on-one mentorship, service-learning opportunities, and more. Training will cover topics such as emotional intelligence, career skills, community responsibility, and independent living.
