12th International Workshop on Computational Economics and Econometrics
Science, Innovation, and Growth: Exploring New Inputs and Cross Effects
27th and 28th June 2024 - CNR-IRCrES, Via dei Taurini 19, Rome
The XII edition of the workshop is dedicated to exploring the intersections of science, innovation, and growth through quantitative analysis techniques in the fields of computational economics and econometrics. The workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to discuss and advance our understanding of the dynamics shaping these crucial domains.
The workshop invites contributions that delve into analysis of scientific research dynamics, citation networks, collaboration patterns among research organizations and between public and private subject, and scientific productivity, research funding policy development and impact, examination of innovation processes, technology adoption, patent analysis, and innovation ecosystems, investigation of economic growth drivers, productivity enhancements, human capital development, and regional disparities. Participants are encouraged to submit papers that address one or more of the aforementioned topics using quantitative analysis techniques. Submissions can focus on individual topics or explore the relationships between science, innovation, and growth.
Contributes that employ novel quantitative approaches and leverage new sources of data to advance research in the fields of innovation economics and the science of sciences are welcome. While these two fields of analysis have historically developed separately, it is increasingly evident that they are becoming more interconnected in both direct and indirect ways. This workshop seeks to explore these evolving relationships and their implications for economic and social development.
Contributions should include elements useful for the development of innovation management and research policies, as well as insights into the dynamics of science, innovation, and growth.
