At Incarnate Word Academy, our STEM Program offers a wide array of activities and initiatives designed to cultivate hands-on learning experiences for our students. Our program is crafted to involve students, both individually, class-driven, and in small groups, to develop hands-on making and designing activities relevant to class projects and independent inquiry. We leverage the most innovative technologies, such as 3D printers, to enhance our students' learning experiences in the STEM Program.
Essential elements of our program comprise:
- Student-driven STEM Ambassador Program: Empowering K-8 students to develop, engineer, and implement STEM projects across seven schools, benefiting 1300 students.
- FIRST Robotics Team: An all-female student-driven organization that has achieved notable success in competitions such as the FIRST Tech Challenge.
- Esports Team: Providing opportunities for students to engage in competitive gaming, with our all-female high school team being among the pioneers in the country.
-Student Driven Collaborative Projects across curriculums.
These initiatives underscore our commitment to offering innovative and inclusive approaches to STEM education, enriching the academic experience of our students.
