展覧会「窓計画」出展

2023年11月に滋賀県立美術館で開催された「窓計画」展への参加。建築家・石山修武の提案で集まった日本列島西側にゆかりのある建築家・彫刻家・工務店（事業家）10組による展覧会。

オキュライ

パルテノンのオキュラスのように、ゴシック聖堂のステンドグラスのように、ファンズワース邸のガラス面のように、建築と不可分となった窓に心を惹かれる。

薄い金属板に無数の切込みを入れる。レーザー加工機を使った、オーゼティックという幾何学的パターンの切絵である。板に力をかけると、金属が塑性変形し、花びらが開くように切込みが開き、多孔質の曲面が生まれる。

これは建築であり、窓である。あるいは、そのまま溝に架ければ、ねずみのカセドラルになるかもしれない……。

Oculai

I am fascinated by windows that are inseparable from architecture, like the oculus of the Pantheon, the stained glass of the Gothic cathedral, or the glass surface of the Farnsworth house. 

Numerous incisions are made in a thin metal plate. This is an application of a geometric pattern called auxetic. When a force is applied, the metal sheet plastically deforms, opening the incision like flower petals, creating a porous curved surface in the end. 

This is architecture, a window. Or, it might become a cathedral of rats if you bridge it over a gutter...
