The Alcoa Foundation awarded the grant (reference number 223317) of 192,500 USD to the Universidade da Coruña (UDC) to conduct the international project entitled "Industrial Wastes in Bituminous Mixtures (IWABIMIX)". The Roads, Geotechnics and Materials investigation Group (CGM) will develop this project from January 10th, 2022 to January 10th, 2024.

This international project, granted by ALCOA FOUNDATION, analyzes the feasibility of using wastes from different origins in the manufacture of warm mix asphalt (WMA) to collaborate with the sustainable development and the circular economy.
