Timeline of Leadership
2003: Local 510 Established The United Native Nations Society Local 510 was established in Campbell River, BC, with a mission to relieve poverty and advance education for Aboriginal Peoples.
2012: Senate Testimony On November 22, 2012, President Bill Williams testified before the Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights in Vancouver. He advocated for:
Housing Reform: Demanded accountability for contractors and inspectors to address unsafe housing conditions on reserves.
Healthcare Accountability: Spoke out against the over-medication of Aboriginal people without proper testing.
Language Change: Proposed changing the term "Reserve" to "First Nations Community" in the Indian Act to restore dignity.
Present: Ongoing Community Support Through International United Native Nation 510 (IUNN 510), we continue to offer advocacy, counseling support, and practical training to help our community members thrive.
