Welcome to the official page of the International Virtual Undergraduates Competition on Technological Innovation (iVUTI2024). This event is organized to offer opportunities for undergraduate students to generate and develop creative and innovative ideas resulting from field-specific work projects. We invite you to join us, and together, we shall develop the path towards a more technologically sustainable future with the theme:
"Sparking Innovations Through Bridging Ideas and Ambitions"
Themes
Explore innovative materials and construction techniques that contribute to sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly buildings.
Innovative solutions for storing and managing energy that are generated from renewable sources, addressing the intermittency challenges in sustainable constructions.
Create digital tools, platforms, or educational resources that promote awareness, understanding, and action toward sustainable development goals.
Propose ideas that promote a circular economy by minimizing waste, promoting resource efficiency, and encouraging the reuse and recycling of materials.
It involves identifying social challenges eg. unfulfilled needs and applying entrepreneurial skills to develop effective and sustainable solutions. This could include addressing issues that are related to poverty, inequality, education, healthcare, and more.
Develop technologies or solutions that improve healthcare accessibility, affordability, and quality in underserved or remote communities
Explore innovative approaches in sustainable fashion, including eco-friendly materials, ethical production practices, and technologies for recycling or upcycling clothing
Design and develop sustainable and environmentally friendly consumer products, considering the entire product life cycle, from manufacturing to disposal
Explore innovations in eco-friendly transportation options, such as electric vehicles, sustainable public transportation systems, or innovative bicycle-sharing programs
Innovations in Disaster Preparedness and Response
Innovative ideas for sustainable urban development, including energy-efficient buildings, green spaces, smart infrastructure, and eco-friendly transportation systems.
Encourage responsible and sustainable tourism practices that promote environmental conservation, community engagement, and cultural preservation.
Innovate in the tourism sector to minimize environmental impact, promote cultural preservation, and create sustainable tourism experiences.
Call for Entry
General Requirement / Guidelines:
Individual or maximum 5 members per group
Complete the extended abstract and video presentation
Upload the video presentation on youtube channel and set as Public/Unlisted
Complete the registration form where participants are required to upload the student matric card, extended abstract, paste the video presentation link uploaded on youtube and complete the payment
The video presentation should be limited to a maximum duration of 3 minutes
The abstract and video must be submitted in the registration form provided (as stated on point 4)
The competition is open to all students (Diploma and Bachelor only) from any local and international universities
Every product of innovation must be original, not plagiarizing any previous product
