Welcome to the International Undergraduates Design Competition (IUDeC2024)!
This event brings together talented undergraduate students from around the world to showcase their creativity, innovation, and design skills. This competition provides opportunity for the students to participate in a variety of design challenges across different disciplines, including town planning, architecture, interior design, fine art and landscape architecture.
IUDeC2024 aims to inspire and empower the next generation of designers to make a positive impact on the world through their creative endeavors. Whether you're a student looking to showcase your talents or an enthusiast eager to witness the cutting-edge of design innovation, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience!
Call for Entry
General Requirements:
Competitions are open to all academics, starting from the undergraduate level.
This competition allows participation both individually and in group
For a group, maximum of 4 members per entry, consisting of 1 Advisor and 3 members.
Multiple entries with different designs and categories are allowed.
Strictly NO REFUNDABLE FEES
All submissions will be in blind judging
AI-generated submissions are not allowed
By participating in this competition and submitting any design or innovation, the participant agrees that Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) will hold the copyright to all submitted works.
Submission Requirement:
(A) EXTENDED ABSTRACT: maximum of 4 pages
(B) YouTube Video: 3 minutes maximum

FUSION TIMBER CHALLENGE: UNITING DESIGN & SUSTAINABILITY
"Timber" suggests the use of wood or wooden materials in the design, while "Fusion" implies a blending or combination of different elements or styles.
Participants are expected to creatively integrate timber or wood-based elements with other materials, architectural styles, or design concepts, showcasing innovation and originality.

The Timber Retreat is envisioned as a sustainable and inviting hub for students that harmoniously combines timber with contemporary design elements
This fusion, aligned with the concept of the Fusion Timber Challenge, prioritizes eco-friendliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal
All design categories (furniture, art installation and space design) in this competition must adhere to this design concept to ensure a consistent and engaging experience for all participants and spectators

Publication Opportunities
* Extended Abstracts are accepted to be prepared in English
All EXTENDED ABSTRACTS will be published in IUDeC2024 (with the e-ISBN number)
All writings shall be in English and follow the format set by IUDeC 2024.
The extended abstract should not exceed FOUR (4) pages, including references.
