Iron Lung
(Horror/Sci-Fi)
This is a movie I had high hopes for going in and wow, I was NOT disappointed.
This movie has many positives, Like the visuals and CGI.
You know how in most movies with a low budgets they have really bad looking effects and cgi? This movie (despite an apparently abismal budget) has INCREDIBLE looking visuals. There's a scene towards the last 30 minutes of the movie that looks so so good. The movie in general just looks great.
Second, Markiplier's acting. I'm not going to lie to you and say that I wasn't expecting a great performance from Markiplier. I already knew that he had the acting chops ever since the praise for that 'A Heist With Markiplier' or 'In Markiplier With Markiplier' So I already expected a great performance,
I have to say (I will go further on this in the negatives) that some parts of his acting is a little sloppy, But towards more the middle and end of the movie you can really see his abilities shine. From the way he acts his distress when things go wrong or the look of hope when he finds something he didn't know or his sadness when reminiscing. He CAN and DID act and I am very impressed.
Also I have to say that the other actors did FUCKING PHENOMENAL. They gave so much shine to this movie and are just really really amazing.
I also love how batshit crazy the movie gets, (especially around the end) Very reminiscent of Evil Dead, Even if its setting is so small.
Now to my Negatives.
First, I do think that some shots just drag on for way too long, Sometimes camera angles are just left there when you expect them to change, Which just kinda makes it a bit annoying.
Second, I think some parts can be boring, Especially the first 30 minutes. It's very slow with not much tension and takes a long while to find its footing, And that mixed with the shotty angles I just mentioned, It just is very poor compared to the rest of the film.
Third, I think occasionally Markiplier's acting is very shotty. Sometimes he just isn't sounding as powerful as other times and just makes it feel a bit uneven.
I have to restate though. I said OCCASIONALLY. He's still a great actor in this film.
Overall, While having it's fair bit of flaws, It's still a great film that deserves to be appreciated.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple
(Horror)
I Absolutely hated the last film, But wow does this movie blow that one out of the park.
First, The gore. Its amazing and grotesque like a zombie movie should.
Second, The writing. This movies writing is amazing, Like how it develops the characters so smartly, How it tells their backstory so engagingly and nicely, It makes you connect with characters that the last movie (at least for me) couldn't. Also this movie is suprisingly hilarious at times, mainly with some goofy things going on and naked zombies, But the silliness and humor doesnt affect the movies darkness and pitch black edge.
I also think that making spike more of a side character was an amazing idea. It lets others develop.
Lastly, The Cinematography. For the last movie, I HATED the look of it. I thought it didnt look good at all, But sheesh, This movie looks BEAUTIFUL, The nature is so pretty and the buildings. Just so so pretty.
This movie (despite me hating on the last film very hard) is a MUST WATCH.

Zootopia 2
(adventure/comedy)
I LOVED Zootopia 2.
First of all, this movie is beautiful and just pure eye candy.
Second, the plot is clever and goes to incredible places.
Third, the mo
An incredible film all around, from stunning visuals to a great plot and an amazing sense of humor, and it still leaves a lot of room for heartfelt moments.
It has many unexpected twists that will leave you hooked to your seat, just as I was.

Wicked: For Good
(musical/fantasy)
Although I never watched the musical, I did watch the last Wicked film and thought it was incredible. Even as an avid musical hater (mainly the musicals that don't really market themselves as one, or those crappy Disney musicals), I could not deny that Wicked was a visually and cinematically incredible movie.
I think Wicked: For Good lives up to that movie's notion, albeit slightly worse.
Now, that doesn't mean the movie is bad; of course, I just prefer the first one more.
I loved many things about Wicked: For Good, like the acting, which still holds up to the last films, with incredible performances all across the board from Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, and many others.
I also loved the visuals, which also hold up, but there are flaws to the movie that I noticed in theaters, like some questionable plot holes in the story, especially towards the end of the movie, but if you just put them to the side, it's plot works.
Wicked: For Good had its flaws, but it is still a really incredible spectacle movie that even non-musical-loving people should rush to see.
Also, absolutely cannot wait to hear all the white girls in my school sing all the songs out loud in the middle of class...yay

Predator: Badlands
(action/sci-fi movie)
This is an excellent movie start to finish.
First of all, I love the pacing, Nothing feels too slow or forced. It's the perfect blend of all the action and creativity without feeling rushed or shoved into your face.
Second of all, I love the action. The action in Predator: Badlands is truly incredible, Its fast-paced and thrilling just the way an action movie should be and I love it for that.
I also love how creative the movie gets with the environment, especially some species in the world that are really fun to watch as the Yautja interacts with them and most of the time attempts to defend themself from.
Overall, It's an incredible spectacle of a Predator movie that even if you've never watched a Predator film in the past, You'll be left craving more.

The Conjuring: Last Rites
(horror movie)
I may not be the best person to review this movie because I've never seen the other Conjuring movies and most people say its repetitive but I'ma go ahead anyways.
I thought this movie was great, It has its flaws which we will get into later, but it has some really strong pros like
I think most of the effects and CGI looks great in this movie. It looks very well made and they make the movie all that more scarier.
I think the acting is really solid, The chemistry between Judy and her boyfriend really makes you care about them and you can find her boyfriend entertaining and silly.
There is some really emotional parts of the movie like the part where Judy's boyfriend talks about his old job that hit surprisingly hard and made you feel for him.
Now to its flaws.
Some of the CGI is a bit wonky, Like the demons faces that look like ai. It just kinda throws you off and makes you laugh.
The movie takes a while to actually get to the demons confronting the Warren's. Most of the movie just builds their chemistry more which isn't a bad thing inherently but can be a but boring for less patient viewers.
Personally I'm a big fan of this movie and you should go check it out in theaters

The Long Walk
(horror/sci-fi movie)
For a movie about a bunch of teenagers and adults walking, Its very entertaining and very depressing.
The movie really shocked me when the first person got shot. I knew the movie was gonna showcase gore and violence but not to the intensity or showcasingly extent that the movie delivers.
The actors do an incredible job at making me care about these characters and their dynamics and bonds. To the point you're heartbroken when you see them go so brutally.
Its a damn depressing movie that is disturbingly grounded and honestly brutal.
Its also surprisingly entertaining for such a heartbreaking movie.
Its a heartbreakingly beautiful film that is worth a watch in theaters.
