Asylum is a photo spread reimagining the deteriorating human conditions and neuroses of patients in Eloise Hospital in the 1930s. Shot inside Historic Fort Wayne alongside a Paranormal Investigation team, we aimed to create these stories as haunting and shocking to not only see but to hear.
Asylum is a photo spread reimagining the deteriorating human conditions and neuroses of patients in Eloise Hospital in the 1930s. Shot inside Historic Fort Wayne alongside a Paranormal Investigation team, we aimed to create these stories as haunting and shocking to not only see but to hear.
These characters were based off of stories from Eloise Hospital (or workhouse/poor house) patients, mostly the women's wards- some simple things today that may have gotten you pawned off to the state 100 years ago and some extreme cases of psychotic disorders; Bulimia, burn victim, adults who think they're dolls, catatonia from possible lobotomy, dirt and scab eaters. All of their stories display a differing grasp of control over themselves and their surroundings.
