The Ito lab members have meaningfully leveraged opportunities to participate in international conferences (as well as national/internal presentation opportunities), using these discussions as valuable feedback and as catalysts to launch new collaborations for their projects, while also expanding their professional networks.
Oral presentation at an international conference (American Society of Hematology [ASH], New Orleans) by Lidiane. A multitude of questions sparked a lively discussion. Abstract Achievement Award recipient as well.

International conferences offer in-person opportunities to meet collaborators; Claudia (ASH, New Orleans) discusses a collaborative project with Dr. Young from Jackson Lab.
Traditionally, a senior PI chairs sessions; however, Lidiane, as a trainee, was honored to be selected as Session co-Chair for myelopoiesis session with with Dr. Kim Nicholos, St. Jude, at the ASH meeting, 2022. She fulfilled the role with distinction.
At PREP Northeast Regional Symposium (May 2024, New York), Carlos presented a poster. A picture of Carlos and Claudia standing in front of his poster.
