In about 2010 I was on holiday with my parents and I was reading David Bodanis's biography of Albert Einstein, called E=mc squared.
My father asked me to tell him the difference between Einstein and me, and so I said I would tell my father when I finished the book.
At the end of the book, I showed my Dad a page, where Einstein was about 12 years old and he was playing with Iron Filings and Magnets. If you've played with Iron Filings and Magnets you will know that as you move the Magnets through the Iron FIlings, you see shapes (or Fields of Energy as Einstein saw in his mind) as the Iron Filings move around as you move a Magnet through the Iron Filings.
So my Dad says:
"ok, what is this and why does this show the difference between you and Einstein?"
I replied:
"When Einstein was playing with Magnets and Iron Filings, his parents bought him more Magnets and Iron FIlings. When I was 12, I was playing with Chemistry Sets and doing science experiments. You (my parents) told me to go play with my friends."
