Exhibit 8

Wedding Photography Advertisement

Background

My husband has often photographed weddings and other events for friends. He took these images of Amy Simpson in a peach orchard in Perry, Utah. I wanted to make a flyer to advertise his photography.

Design

Contrast

I used a white background to place these images on a clean backdrop. Because they're bridal photos, I wanted to incorporate the Western view of white representing marriage.

Repetition

I used a simple 4x4 grid to create a sense of repetition in the display.

Alignment

Each of the images are fully justified within the grid space. I centered the wording for a more formal look, and then right-aligned the photographer's name with the bride's name.

Proximity

The images are spaced equally from one another, but there's a wider border along the left and right edges. I also created a larger bottom border to allow plenty of breathing room below the text.

Photoshop Skill(s) Used

  • Used frame tool to place rectangle frame

  • Alt+drag to duplicate frames and place in grid

  • Text tool; color dropper to select green from top left image for "Amy Simpson"; lowered opacity for photographer's name

Credits

Revision
