The Itinerant Deaf Cinema Festival opens the call for short films to be submitted for the International Ritmi Visivi competition.
The call is aimed at filmmakers working in the field of Deaf cinema, with the goal of promoting Deaf identity, Sign Language, and visual artistic practices.
Who can participate
Who can participate
Deaf directors / producers
CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) directors / producers
Hearing directors / producers collaborating with Deaf artists or communities
Works exploring or connected to one or more of the following areas are welcome
Deaf cinema and/or Deaf identity
Deaf culture and accessibility
Visual and non-verbal storytelling
Presence or use of Sign Language (optional)
Any other story you want to explore by your own perspective
Film requirements
Works can be in any spoken or signed language
English subtitles (.srt) are mandatory
Italian subtitles (.srt) are strongly recommended, if available
All genres, formats are accepted
Max 30 minutes (short-films)
