The Itinerant Deaf Cinema Festival celebrates Deaf Cinema, promoting participation, accessibility, and collaboration between Deaf, hearing, and CODA communities in the cinema industry.
The festival takes place over 3-days of short film screenings, talks & signs, workshops, performances, and round tables, with the aim of valuing Sign Languages and Deaf identity.
The event is fully accessible in Italian Sign Language (LIS), International Sign and italian.

Three evening screenings dedicated to contemporary Deaf cinema, featuring short films from all over the world. All films are presented with Italian and English captions.
Signs & Talks
Signs & Talks
Artists, filmmakers, researchers, and cultural practitioners from around the world. Through conversations in Sign Languages, talks, and open discussions, guests share practices, experiences, and reflections on Deaf cinema, art, and accessibility.
Jury
Jury
An international jury of three distinguished Deaf professionals will evaluate the selected films and assign the International
Ritmi Visivi Award.
The festival audience plays an active role by assigning the Audience Award.

The International Deaf Cinema Manifesto is a collective and open process that invites artists, filmmakers, and audiences to reflect on the meaning and structure of Deaf Cinema today.
Through shared discussions, contributions, and collective writing, we aim to define Deaf Cinema together:
its languages, values, aesthetics, and political dimensions.
The manifesto has the aim to be a living document that grows through participation, dialogue, and multiple perspectives across cultures and communities.
