The ITE upholds pedagogical and institutional best practices with the intent to provide quality professional development and training opportunities to all faculty. We focus on student success through equity, accessibility, design, implementation, and communication.

We strive to increase student success through partnerships, learner-centered environments, performance-based feedback, pedagogical best practices,  and open communication with faculty.

Methods

The ITE uses established and tested methods of instructional practice, informed by accrediting bodies, reputable institutes of higher learning, national conferences, and published authors in the field of education. Specifically, the ITE follows the guidelines of NC-SARA and SACS.

The ITE also keeps abreast of student needs and the educational climate through undergraduate courses taught by its team members.

Members of the ITE team attend multiple courses, workshops, and conferences to stay aware of national trends, informed practices, and innovative technologies.
