95th anniversary of the birth of Georgy Mikhailovich Grechko. Born in Leningrad on May 25, 1931, died in Moscow on April 8, 2017, was a Soviet cosmonaut who flew on three space missions: Soyuz 17, Soyuz 26, and Soyuz T-14. He was twice awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union medal and three times the Order of Lenin. ( SSTV ; 437. 625 MHz ; RS40S Umka-1 ; 25-27 May 2026 )
The ArcticSat‑1 mission is about to conclude. The small satellite, launched on November 5, 2024, from Vostochny for the Space‑Pi program, has sent its last SSTV series. The complete sequence of images consists of four pictures featuring a cat as the main character. I followed the event using a WebSDR with an antenna located in Ruzaevka, because the WebSDR associated with the Dwingeloo Radio Observatory was offline.
