This website: A Brief History of Computers: A Very Brief History of Information Technology and Systems has finally been completely reconfigured here in Google Sites. It was taken from a nice simple second generation website about the history of computers called: A History of Information Technology and Systems, which I augmented and called: A Very Brief History of Information Technology and Systems--for the simple reason that even though computers, as we know them, have only been around for 75 years, their history is rich and complex and is actually under represented here. On another note, I rebuilt the site at this location because, the other one required a web-server for it to reside on and I have had those shut down for various reasons over the years. I have had this Google account for over 15 years so I think it is the most stable place to house this website--so here we go! This information will continue to be updated to become more complete.

Hello Rob :
Thank you, and incidentally I think your Web site is terrific, just the way a site should be laid out and look, in my view ---- words and pictures, just read them and look at them. Great.
Cheers and thanks again,
Martin
Mr. Riley,
As a dad of a 7th grader, I just wanted to give you some positive feedback on your computer page! In my daughter's
technology class, they're learning about the evolution of computers; I've been helping her do some research and your
page has been a big help in leading us to some great information! Thank you!
In our searching, my daughter had found this timeline:
https://www.bookyourdata.com/computerschangedhistory *Site no longer live
I didn't see it listed on your page http://
schools.dcsd.k12.nv.us/jves/class/rriley/IT.htm would *Site no longer live
you mind adding it so I
could show my daughter? I know you're probably busy, but it would mean a lot! I thought it was a great find for her!
Encouragement goes such a long way in kids! (Hey, maybe she'll even get some extra credit from her teacher?)
Thanks again!
Nathan (and Brittney)
