Proposal #1

I would like to discuss more of Lewitt's perspective from "Sentences on Conceptual Art" . I found this text to be very insightful and interesting as they were able to peel away some of the stigma and fluff that goes into art and the finished product. I prefer to analyze and reflect/argue for or against. Let me know if this is something that would work for the short essays.

For the second essay I would like to discuss and break down Joseph Kosuth's idea that art is essentially language, overall disagreeing with his notions of how far art can be broken down, and perhaps determining the two perceivable forms (art versus beauty?) from one another or trying to find an answer with the comparison breakdowns.
