How do I wash a grill cover?

In this case you should pay particular attention to the product description or the washing symbols on the side of the cover. They show you whether you may or may not wash them in the washing machine, for example - this is rather rare.

As a rule of thumb: wiping the cover with a damp cloth works without any problems in 99.9% of all cases.

Another option is to simply hose down the cover with a garden hose. This is also often recommended by the manufacturers of the cover. Important: The pressure should not be too high here, as this could possibly damage the fabric of the cover.

Covering the grill is not the most important issue. Sometimes it is possible not to cover the grill, and sometimes it is absolutely necessary. But in any case, we recommend that you always have a cover for your grill, as grills are designed to be outdoors at all times. 

The manufacturers of cheaper grills use lower quality materials and therefore cannot guarantee such resistant performance. Simply put, if you have a brand grill and forget to encase it, don't worry, a little rain or snow won't hurt it at all.

It doesn't matter what climate zone you live in, just try to take care of your grill at all times. We do not recommend its use in enclosed spaces or garages - it is against fire safety regulations. This is the right way to wash

If you have a tarpaulin made of the TekSafe material, for example custom-made covers or a motorcycle cover, you can easily wash the tarpaulin in the washing machine. Ideally you should select the delicate wash cycle of your machine at a maximum of 30°C. 

When the washing cycle is finished, hang the hood up to dry either in the fresh air or on the clothes drying rack in the house. The Teak Safe material dries very quickly.

You should avoid this - attention: Never dry the canopy in the dryer. This may cause a change in shape and can cause damage to the material.

How often should the TekSafe cover be washed?

You may have a wicker beach chair cover that covers the basket most of the year. Then this cover is heavily exposed to the weather conditions. Maybe a bird has been doing it too. Then you should wash the canopy once a year. In general, you can wash your canopy as needed. 

Note: The material is designed for the washing cycle. This means that the cover does not lose its protective properties. However, frequent washing may cause the colour to fade.
