This class is for students who want to undertake advanced works in areas of technologies for multimedia. From this lecture, students will learn hardware and software applications of digital multimedia systems.

Topics covered in this class include computer hardware, communications networks, speech, audio, image, and video signal processing, etc. Students will practice software tools for authoring multimedia contents. They have to accomplish assignments designed for practicing the tools.

Students are required to be with backgrounds of digital signal processing, linear algebra, continuous-time signal and system.
