This class is for students who want to undertake advanced work in the areas of technologies for multimedia. From this lecture, students will learn hardware and software applications of digital multimedia systems.
Topics covered in this class include computer hardware, communications networks, speech, audio, image, and video signal processing, etc. Students will practice software tools for authoring multimedia content. They have to accomplish assignments designed for practicing the tools.
Students are required to be with backgrounds in digital signal processing, linear algebra, continuous-time signal and system.

ADF 과목에서는 랜덤 프로세스를 바탕으로 하는 선형 예측 기법에 대하여 살펴본다. 그리고 최적 필터인 Wiener filter와 이를 적응적으로 구현하는 steepest decent algorithm, LMS 알고리듬의 유도과정과 수렴 특성등에 대해 고찰하며 파워 정규화 특성을 갖는 Normalized LMS 알고리듬에 대해서 알아본다.
이와 함께 고속 적응 알고리듬인 Affine Projection(AP), Recursive Least Square(RLS), 그리고 order-recursive 구조인 lattice, escalator 필터를 유도하고 특성을 관찰한다. 마지막으로 적응 필터를 응용한 echo canceller와 active noise control 시스템에 대해 고찰한다.
