MOMO REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN NATIONALS

Foreign Nationals are categorized into 2 by the AML Guidelines:

Resident (Student and Workers)

Non-Residents (Those on Visits)

Below are the requirements:

RESIDENT

Foreign nationals under the following categories shall provide the under-listed documentations for KYC purposes:

Students

Valid National Passport

Admission letter from a recognized education institution

Non-Student/Workers

Valid National Passport

Valid Resident Permit or Work Permit

They will be registered Under the Medium Profile. Where they provide a Proof of Address in Ghana, they qualify to be placed on the Enhanced Profile

NON-RESIDENT

Foreign nationals under the following categories shall provide the under-listed documentations for KYC purposes:

Valid Passport

Indicate the address in his/her home country

Proof of address in Ghana

One of the Following could suffice as the proof of address in Ghana:

Hotel/Hostel/Apartment Booking Document/Receipt

The address and ID of the host (in case the prospective customer is being hosted by a Ghanaian)

They will be registered Under the Minimum Profile

This means where there is no Resident permit in the customer’s passport, he or she needs to be registered under the Minimum Profile.
