Message Xpress is an automated missed call “quick message” service
Its designed to provide convenience for customers by allowing them to send quick
and personalized messages when their calls are not answered
This enables the caller to send the recipient a message to after a call is unanswered-making it easier to
tell their friends why they were calling
This service is available to both PAYG & PM customers
HOW IT WORKS
The message Xpress service option is added to the Menu on the Sim Tool Kit
Every customer will have it as part of their options under MY MTN
It will allow customers to send messages to ‘On-net or IDD numbers when the call is unanswered
Customer A calls customer B but the call is answered,
After customer A hangs up, MsgXpress displays a prompt or pop up with a list of selection of message options
Customer A chooses an option“I will be late” as a message. The MsgXpress service sends an automated message to customer B
The message Xpress will however not work based on the below conditions
If the call is answered by customer B’s voicemail
Customer B’s phone is switched off
The senders number will send the sms from any of the below short codes , dependent on the
destination of the recipient (ON NET OR IDD)

HOW TO OPT OUT
The user can opt-out of the MsgXpress service at any time through any of the following ways:
• The user can select “Turn Off” in the SIM menu
• MsgXpress will automatically offer an opt-out opportunity if the user continues not to use the service (after he has already chosen to opt-in)
