About MTN Heroes of Change

Thousands of selfless people are doing amazing things in communities across Ghana.

The MTN “Heroes of Change” project seeks to unearth and celebrate these people.

The program will identify, celebrate and support the contribution of these heroes and heroines who are playing

diverse roles in the development of our society.

Nominating your Hero

MTN Ghana Foundation, the corporate social investment arm of MTN Ghana, is inviting nominations for the MTN Hero of Change 2017.

If you know of a person or a group making extraordinary contributions in the community then take the first step towards giving them an opportunity to

be recognized and rewarded by nominating them for the MTN Hero of Change award.

How to Nominate

You can either complete and submit a nomination form, record and send a video nominating your hero or simply write a letter to us.

Letter

Alternatively, you may write a letter of not more than two pages describing your hero and stating why he/she deserves to be rewarded as an

MTN Hero of Change. Send your letter to MTN Heroes of Change, P.O. Box AT 179, Achimota-Accra, or drop it off at any MTN Service Centre.

Video

Record a 2 minute video describing your hero and stating what makes him/her your hero; Send video to WhatsApp number 0554222222

Submission Deadline

Nominations are open from September 20th to 11:59 pm on November 8th, 2017

Criteria for Selection

Selections will be from the following MTN Ghana Foundation Focus areas:

Health – dedication to the enhancement of human health in Ghana.

Economic Empowerment – commitment to capacity building and economic empowerment in Ghana.

Education – helping to improve literacy and/or increase access to education in Ghana.

MTN Hero of Change 2017 Award

A shortlist of 10 nominees and their projects will be showcased on TV over a 13-week period, and an independent panel of Judges will select

three category winners and an ultimate 2017 MTN Hero of Change.

The 2017 MTN Hero of Change will receive project support of GHC100, 000.

MyHero Campaign

This year, MTN has introduced the ‘MyHero’ campaign. It is aimed at recognizing all those individuals who are touching the lives of others in little ways.

The MyHero campaign will run exclusively on social media. Individuals will post/upload pictures of their heroes on MTN social media channels

(@MTNGhana #MTNGhana) with a short description of what they do. The most inspiring stories and most likes will get a special mention at the

final event including MTN branded prizes.
