MTN Broadband Customers are required to pay a one-time installation charge(Residential Package GHC150) which covers the installation of fiber-optic cables and a modem
which would allow the customer to have access to the best internet service in the country. The Modem supplied enables WiFi automatically
Availability
To enjoy the MTN super fast Broadband service, fiber optic cables must be installed in residencies or office complexes which in turn offers
customers an opportunity to enjoy a fast and reliable internet connection throughout the day.
HOW TO TOP UP
Monthly payments can be done at any of the MTN Service centers, mobile money or top up with the MTN Vouchers.
Customers can also top-up their credit and check their balance by dialing *5057#
The reseller, super saver and the GHC 395- 550GB bundles will no longer be available.
The GHC 395 - 550GB data bundle will no longer be available for purchase.
Customers can rather enter GHC 395 under the flexi option to purchase their preferred data bundle.
BE RIGHT BACK (Freeze Account)
This service allows customer’s on Fibre to Hold (Freeze) their bundle purchased for a period due to unavailability.
Customer dials *5057# and selects option 5 to Manage Existing Account OR customer simply dials *5057*5#.
Customer confirms the linked broadband number and enters 4 digit pin
Selects option “2” to Freeze Account.
“This option automatically holds the bundle purchased for 7 days, the customer can only reactivate after then.
However the System will automatically release account (bundle) after 60 days if not done by the customer after 7 days”.
Customer receives notification:“Your Account has successfully been put on hold. You can release after ….
or system will automatically reactivate your account after…”
XTRA BYTE
This service allows customer to be borrow data to use on their Fibre number
Option is available to customers who have use Fibre and have purchased bundles consistently for 3 months
Customer is deducted 10% as commission and the bundle amount borrowed on the next bundle purchase
To borrow data
Customer dials *5057# and selects option 5 to Manage Existing Account OR customer simply dials *5057*5#.
Customer selects option “5” to Borrow Data.
Available data each customer can borrow is displayed (based on their past bundle purchases)
Customer selects an option and receives SMS from 5057 to confirm success of the borrowed data.
Customer needs to have a balance of 100MB and below To be eligible to borrow
HOW IT WORKS
Customer buys any of the data bundle packages available on the *5057# platform.
Customer receives data bundle plus 100% bonus on the purchased amount.
This offer will be valid for residential packages.
Bonus data is allocated in the DA 105 and it is valid for 30 days.
Data bundle purchase is allocated in the DA 208
Effective rate for bonus data DA 105 is 0.001 and that of the DA 208 is 0.0019482
Customer will see the bonus added to the bundle purchased after on balance check via 5057 platform
Information on the bundle purchase as well as received 100% bonus is available on the FTTX Support Portal
1TB LOYALTY OFFER
The top 28 fiber broadband customers will be rewarded with 1TB worth of data bundle in the fibre account.
Bundle will be allocated in the DA 105 and the effective rate is 0.001
Criteria for Selecting the Top 28 (1TB)
1. Top Revenue Contributors (Airport, Lakeside, Devtracco and Labone &Cantonment) from January –November 2018
2. Customers who consistently top up 395.00 from January to November 2018
3. Customers who have been consistent in the 1st four areas that were on-boarded.
