Terms & Conditions Of New Features
1. Policyholders and Additional Insured (Recipients of SwC Mobile Money Amounts) should satisfy the following eligibility conditions:
a. Should be within the ages of 18 – 65 years as at last birthday
b. Should be registered MTN Subscribers with registered MTN Ghana Mobile Money account
c. Should be Ghanaian citizens and also residents in Ghana
d. SwC should be used to send money to specified family member(s) of the Policyholder (sender) such as spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews and nieces who uses MTN Mobile Money
2. A 30 (thirty) day waiting period applies to the following benefits:
a. Illness Hospital Cover on the first SwC transaction by the Policyholder to a new beneficiary.
b. Additional Insured Life Cover for each new beneficiary(ies).
Items needed for Claims
You need to submit Hospital discharge letter and Medical Bills for hospitalisation claim.
For Death claims, your Beneficiary(ies) or MyCaretaker will be required to submit a death certificate or any proof of death.

Send With Care Terms
a. Beneficiary : The recipient of the Send with Care Transfer. This person will stand to benefit in event of death of sender.
NB: With the new features on Send with Care, the sender of the money also benefits.
b. My Caretaker: This is someone you trust. This person can request a claim on behalf of the sender/beneficiaries if the sender passes away or hospitalized and unable to file the claim.
c. Favourites: These are individuals a sender nominates to automatically send with care. This feature is yet to be activated
d. Policy Holder: This is the individual who used Send with Care to transfer money to another person (recipient or beneficiary).
e. MyBonus: This is earned as you add Send with Care to the money you send and will be cashed out to your Mobile Money Account when it reaches ¢2.50
f. aYo Info Call Back: This feature allows an aYo Agent to call you back for further clarification if needful.
AYO SEND WITH CARE INSURANCE
AYO Send with Care service allows customers add Cover or Insurance when they send Money to their loved ones, this is applicable to only Mobile Money P2P and School Fees Transactions
To send money using AYO Send with Care , customers:
Must be registered on Mobile Money
Be between the ages of 18 and 65 years old.
Be a Ghanaian citizen and also a resident in Ghana.
Beneficiary must be a registered Mobile money User
HOW TO ACCESS
Customer dials *170# and select option 1 for Transfer Money
Select Option 3 for send with Care
Then Options below will be Available for the Customer
1. Mobile User: this option allows customers to send with care to a registered mobile money user who becomes the beneficiary
2. Favourites: Favourites option allows to save details of customers they send money to frequently
3. School Fees: Gives customers the option to pay fees to various categories of schools – Primary/Secondary, Tertiary/ University.
There will be a list of schools to select from. However if the preferred school is not available there is an option to select others and enter the school code
4. My Care Taker: gives information on a trusted person of your choice who can request a claim for your beneficiaries in your absence.
There is an option to add or edit Caretaker details
5. Ayo send with Care Balance or Claims: AYO balances/Claims Option 1 for Balances of all AYO Transactions,Option 2 for Details on AYO Send with Care, Option 3 for Making Claim for Caretaker or Loved One/ Claim for Hospital Cover
BENEFITS
Cover: By sending money through “Send with Care” customers will be purchasing cover valid for 120 days every time they send money to a beneficiary (either an individual person or to a school for school fees). Cover for money sent to individuals through MTN Mobile Money: When customer dies or is hospitalized, the accumulated cover for Money sent with Care will be paid into the beneficiary’s MTN Mobile Money Account.
Cover for your school fees paid through MTN Mobile Money: When customer dies or is hospitalized, the accumulated cover for Schools Paid with Care will be paid to MTN Mobile Money Account of the Beneficiary’s school.
Receive bonus value: By using Send with Care you will receive bonus value (MyBonus). My Bonus becomes available to you once it reaches a specified threshold and you can choose to have it cashed out into your MTN Mobile Money account.
NB; once claim is made the AYO team will investigate to validate claim before payment is done. Payment is done within 48hrs after claim.
COST OF AYO SEND WITH CARE
A premium, that is payable by the sender of the money. This cost is based on a fixed 5% of the value you send to (remit to) your beneficiary or school “with Care”.
For example; If you send GHS50 the cost for Send with Care to you will be 5% which is GHS2.50
If you send GHS200 the cost for Send with Care to you will be 5% of the amount which is GHS10.00
If you send GHS450 the cost for Send with Care to you will be 5% of the amount which is GHS22.50
Customers must have sufficient funds in your MTN Mobile Money account to cover the cost of the transfer and Send with Care, otherwise your money will be sent to the beneficiary but no cover will be provided.
The sender (the person sending money) is the premium payer. The beneficiary receiving the money does not pay anything for the Insurance cover.
The premium will be a separate charge to the sender’s MTN Mobile Money account and will not be deducted from the amount being sent.
HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM
To initiate a claim, dial 170#, select option 1 to “Transfer Money”, then option 3 for “Send with Care”.
Select the claim option.
Continue by entering the required information requested of you. SMS notification is sent with further details
You may receive a call from an AYO agent in the event of any queries during the claims process.
Claims can also be submitted via the AYO website to be found at www.ayo.com.gh.
Claim should be initiated within 30 days of the event.
BENEFICIARY TIPS
A beneficiary is the individual or a school that you send (remit) money to and is the person or school you name to receive the benefits of your policy.
Customers can have 10 individual beneficiaries, or school beneficiaries, these beneficiaries are selected automatically after using Send with Care to send them money.
You can only be a beneficiary of Send with Care if you have an MTN Mobile Money account.
MY CARETAKER TIPS
My Caretaker is any person who can claim on your behalf when you are unable to do so. My Caretaker can ensure that your beneficiaries receive the Send with Care proceeds due to them in the event of a user being indisposed. Users can set up only One Caretaker
To set up a care taker the below are required :

Follow the “My Caretaker” option in the Send with Care section in the MTN Mobile Money USSD menu.
My Caretaker does not need to be a MTN Mobile Money account holder. My Caretaker can claim on your behalf if they dial *170# and follow the claim
prompts from the Send with Care menu. However, if My Caretaker is not on the MTN Mobile Money network, claims can also be submitted through the website www.ayo.com.gh.
