What is MTN Asset Tracking Service?

MTN Asset Tracking service is a portfolio of devices for securing, monitoring and tracking of valuable assets.

The GPS devices transmit information so that users can track their location all the time.

These trackers (with the exception of fuel monitoring tracker) do not require any special installation as customers can easily set it up on their own

Available for both postpaid and prepaid customers

Customers with corporate accounts have the option to purchase the device and pay over a period of 12 months.

Postpaid individual customers can only purchase the prepaid package

TYPES OF ASSET TRACKING DEVICES

1. AssetTrack Vehicle OBD Smart Mate– Vehicle tracker that fits in the OBDI slot in most vehicles.

This delivers up to date information and multiple added features . Tracker comes with additional features to monitor fuel tank volume, fault and maintenance notification , engine off/on, etc (Additional Features are specific to car make/ brand compatibilities due to vehicle manufacturer limitations )

2. AssetTrack Personal- A small portable device, when charged can be placed in any personal asset /carrier , bags, children’s backpack, car, packages , boxes etc for easy tracking and up to date monitoring

3. AssetTrack Container-A simple detachable magnetic device with the ability to magnetically attach to Metallic shipping containers for tracking in-land shipments across Ghana

4. AssetTrack Bicycle-A perfect rechargeable tracking device for bicycles. Bicycle T04 automatically blinks when you start to ride, and can stay on standby for up to 130days.

5. AssetTrack Fuel Monitor- MTN’s Ultrasonic Fuel Level Sensor measures oil/diesel/petrol level in Fuel tankers / fuel storage tanks of up to 2.5m in height. This device is used for fuel level measurement in vehicles and generator set fuel tanks, in order to control and monitor fuel consumption and/or otherwise

6. AssetTrack Motorcycle-is designed to keep motorbikes safe and secured. Its key-lock accessory works together to provide relevant location and movement information. This device also monitors the physical condition of any motorbike; fuel consumption/level, oil level, battery, etc.

Speed Alerts-Monitors and sends alert speed limits of all vehicles that are being tracked

Each device comes with 1 month free data automatically sent to device after activation & insertion of SIM Card into the device.

Customer will log on to www.trackhab.com to register and top up monthly using GHC20 MTN Airtime vouchers / scratch cards onto the web portal .

Corporate entity request for an asset tracking device through an MTN Postpaid service center or MTN Business account manager

Customer Service rep forwards request to the MTN business support team for device activation.

Support activates the requested package.

Customer Service rep delivers device to customer with invoice / receipt

Customer is advised to go to www.Trackhab.com to register and activate device

Customer installs the device

Customer activates device and starts monitoring assets

Customer receives bill every month for payment to keep service active.
