Ad un passo dall'importante traguardo dei 20 anni, nei giorni 7/8/9/10 Maggio 2026 torna ISOLA ROCK manifestazione musicale e culturale ad ingresso gratuito e a scopo benefico organizzata dall’ Associazione I Butei che giunge alla 19^ edizione. 

Appuntamento imperdibile per gli appassionati di rock e metal dove musica, arte e cultura si uniscono nella bellissima cornice del Palariso di Isola della Scala (Verona); location in-door, dotata di parcheggio adiacente capiente e gratuito e di tutti quei servizi necessari per una permanenza confortevole. Un evento che ogni anno espande sempre di più i confini geografici, ospitando band provenienti non solo dal territorio italico ma anche, nel 2026, da Inghilterra, Andorra, Francia e Rep. Ceca. Una proposta artistica che, fin dalla prima edizione, non è caratterizzata da giornate 'a tema' ma propone un mix di generi e sonorità anche all'interno della stessa serata, unendo band storiche e di più recente formazione.

Giovedì 7 Maggio: Headliner della prima giornata sarà la heavy metal band britannica Tygers of Pan Tang, nata nel 1978 è una della formazioni più storiche ed influenti della NWOBHM; prima di loro il guitar-man Pier Gonella con il suo progetto solista strumentale in power trio; a scaldare l’atmosfera i veronesi Wyatt Earp con un hard rock di stampo settantiano che si ispira a band come Deep Purple, Rainbow e Uriah Heep ed in apertura i IV Sigillo: doom metal, con influenze del rock dei Sabbath, e sonorità occulte.

Venerdì 8 Maggio: Headliner della seconda giornata sarà la storica band inglese Threshold. Formatisi nel 1988 sono considerati tra i pionieri del progressive metal insieme a band come Dream Theater e Fates Warning. Possenti intrecci progressivi e ottimi arrangiamenti per una band con una ricchissima discografia, che calca i palchi di tutto il mondo da oltre trent’anni. Co-headliner i The Foreshadowing band romana caratterizzata da atmosfere cupe e malinconiche ma allo stesso tempo maestose ed epiche; un gioiello italiano per gli amanti del gothic, del doom e delle ambientazioni dark. Prima di loro i francesi Amon Sethis con il loro power/progressive e le tematiche basate sull’Antico Egitto; gli Eagleheart dalla Rep. Ceca, con un power metal senza fronzoli con refrain melodici e orchestrazioni potenti e in apertura i giovani Intersidera tra alternative metal e prog.

Sabato 9 Maggio: Headliner una band di riferimento della scena Symphonic Power Metal italiana e internazionale: gli Ancient Bards. Sound potente, orchestrazioni maestose e narrazioni epiche il tutto impreziosito dalla straordinaria vocalist Sara Squadrani. Co-headliner i Dobermann: un pedigree ‘on the road’ conquistato metro dopo metro per le strade di mezza Europa, tre rockers purosangue e uno spettacolo energico e travolgente. Attesissima reunion quella dei Voodoo Highway band di Ferrara che riporta in vita lo spirito dell’hard rock classico degli anni ’70 e ’80, caratterizzato da riff potenti, organo Hammond e voci melodiche. I P.O.E. Philosophy of Evil band horror metal con un sound potente, elementi teatrali ed un'atmosfera inquietante. Prima di loro i torinesi Five Ways to Nowhere con riff aggressivi e groovosi, una voce graffiante e melodie accattivanti, e in apertura i fiorentini Weirdream, base thrash metal con sfumature prog.

Domenica 10 Maggio: Headliner dell'ultima giornata del festival sono i Persefone, progressive death metal band di Andorra attiva da oltre 20 anni e caratteristica per le atmosfere sinfonico-progressive che mescolano la violenza del death metal con melodie raffinate e arrangiamenti complessi. Co-headliner Hand of Juno con un sound in equilibrio tra l’industrial e il deathcore, con breakdown violenti e profondi intermezzi dal sapore dark. Prima gli Anticlockwise con il loro thrash metal dalle marcate sfumature progressive e in apertura i Disagio storica band metal bresciana, attiva dal 1993, con un sound potente, crudo e travolgente, tra l’heavy e il death.

Sempre nella giornata di Domenica si riconferma Horror in Rock il format che unisce cinema, libri e musica, tutto a base di brivido, nato dalla collaborazione con Shatter Edizioni e Giallo Berico, a breve tutte le info.

Non mancheranno gli stand gastronomici curati dall'Associazione I Butei con proposte anche vegane e la selezione di birre artigianali del Birrificio Artigianale Agricolo “Due Frati”.

L'Area espositiva sarà come ogni anno ricca di stand di varia tipologia; con dischi, vinili, memorabilia, oggetti da collezione, prodotti hand-made, artigianato, liuteria, strumenti musicali, editoria musicale, abbigliamento rock e oggettistica a tema.

Just one step away from the important milestone of 20 years, ISOLA ROCK returns on 7, 8, 9 and 10 May 2026. A free entry music and cultural festival with a charitable purpose, organised by the Associazione I Butei.

A must attend event for rock and metal fans, where music, art and culture come together in the striking setting of the Palariso in Isola della Scala, Verona. An indoor venue featuring a large adjacent car park, free of charge, and all the essential services needed to ensure a comfortable experience throughout the festival.

An event that continues to expand its geographical horizons year after year, welcoming bands not only from Italy but also, in 2026, from England, Andorra, France and the Czech Republic.
An artistic programme that, since its very first edition, has never been divided into themed days, instead offering a blend of genres and sounds even within the same evening, bringing together long established bands and more recent projects.

Thursday 7 May: Headlining the opening day will be British heavy metal band Tygers of Pan Tang. Formed in 1978, they are one of the most historic and influential acts of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.  Before them, guitarist Pier Gonella will take the stage with his instrumental solo project in a power trio format.  Warming up the crowd will be local Verona based band Wyatt Earp, delivering a ‘70s inspired hard rock sound influenced by Deep Purple, Rainbow and Uriah Heep.  Opening the night, IV Sigillo will bring their doom metal rooted in Sabbath era rock influences, with dark and occult atmospheres.

Friday 8 May: Headlining the second day will be the legendary English band Threshold. Formed in 1988, they are regarded as pioneers of progressive metal alongside bands such as Dream Theater and Fates Warning. Powerful progressive textures and refined arrangements define a band with an extensive discography, performing on stages around the world for over thirty years. Sharing headliner status are Rome based The Foreshadowing, known for their dark and melancholic atmospheres that are at the same time majestic and epic. A true Italian gem for fans of gothic, doom and darker soundscapes. Before them, French band Amon Sethis will present their power and progressive metal inspired by themes of Ancient Egypt. From the Czech Republic, Eagleheart will deliver a straightforward power metal sound with melodic choruses and powerful orchestrations.  Opening the evening, the young Intersidera will move between alternative metal and progressive influences.

Saturday 9 May: Headlining the third day will be one of the leading bands of the Italian and international symphonic power metal scene, Ancient Bards. A powerful sound, majestic orchestrations and epic storytelling, all enhanced by the outstanding vocals of Sara Squadrani. Sharing headliner status are Dobermann, a band whose strong on the road pedigree has been earned mile after mile across the roads of half of Europe. Three pure blood rockers and an energetic, hard hitting live show. Highly anticipated is the reunion of Ferrara based Voodoo Highway, bringing back the spirit of classic hard rock from the 1970s and 1980s, driven by powerful riffs, Hammond organ and melodic vocals.  Also on the bill are P.O.E. Philosophy of Evil , a horror metal band delivering a powerful sound, theatrical elements and a dark, unsettling atmosphere.  Before them, Turin based Five Ways to Nowhere will bring aggressive and groovy riffs, a gritty vocal performance and catchy melodies, while opening the day will be Florence based Weirdream, rooted in thrash metal with progressive shades.

Sunday 10 May: Headlining the final day of the festival are Persefone, a progressive death metal band from Andorra, active for over twenty years and known for their symphonic-progressive atmospheres that blend the aggression of death metal with refined melodies and complex arrangements. Co-headliners Hand of Juno will present a sound balanced between industrial and deathcore, featuring violent breakdowns and deep, dark flavoured interludes.  Earlier on, Anticlockwise will deliver their thrash metal marked by strong progressive influences, while opening the day will be Disagio, a historic metal band from Brescia active since 1993, with a powerful, raw and overwhelming sound moving between heavy and death metal.

Sunday will also see the return of Horror in Rock, the format that brings together cinema, books and music, all under the banner of thrills and dark atmospheres. The project was born from the collaboration with Shatter Edizioni e Giallo Berico. Full details will be announced soon. 

Food stalls curated by the Associazione I Butei will be available throughout the festival, with options including vegan dishes, alongside a selection of craft beers from the agricultural craft brewery Due Frati.

As every year, the exhibition area will feature a wide variety of stands, offering records and vinyl, memorabilia, collectibles, handmade products, crafts, luthiery, musical instruments, music publishing, rock clothing and themed merchandise.
