The Department of Visual Media and Communication, School of Arts, Humanities, and Commerce, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham-Kohi Campus, welcomes you to the 4th International Symposium on Media Education and Research ISMER 2025 on the theme “Sustainable Narratives: Media’s Role in Driving SDGs Action” from March 25th–27th, 2025.
Background
ISMER has a legacy of impactful discussions, with the previous editions exploring themes such as inclusive communication, cross-border media engagement, and innovations in media practices. ISMER 2024, for instance, emphasized inclusivity and technological advancements, setting the stage for groundbreaking ideas on media's societal role. Building on this foundation, ISMER 2025 takes a step further by aligning its discussions with the SDGs, ensuring a global outlook on the media's role in addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.
