Hey Island Awaken Team!
We are just days away from kicking off Island Awaken — an 8-city gospel tour across Vancouver Island — and we couldn’t be more excited that YOU are part of it.
Hundreds of volunteers from across the island are coming together to serve, pray, build, and believe for a move of God like we’ve never seen before. From Port Hardy to Victoria, we’re uniting under one banner: Jesus lifted high, souls saved, the Church mobilized, and cities changed.
Below is your general volunteer info to help you get ready. You’ll also receive a city-specific email the week of your assigned event with exact times, location, field layout, and your role for that stop.
Cities: Port Hardy, Campbell River, Comox, Duncan, Port Alberni, Nanaimo, Parksville, Victoria
Dates: July 12 – August 31 (Fridays to Sundays in most cities)
Service Times: 7:00PM Fri & Sat, 6:00PM Sun — some cities may have special outreach or training formats (Port Alberni, Duncan), check website for specifics
What to expect: Worship, preaching, healing, baptisms, salvations, and powerful encounters with Jesus
Arrival times: Vary by city — 10:00AM to setup, if you cannot make it until later please let us know what time you’ll be arriving, Worship teams on site at 5:00
Team huddle: 5:30PM nightly
Teardown: Each night after service (sound equipment) and a full teardown Sunday evening
All details for your city will be in the separate chat you’ll receive before your weekend.
You’ll be assigned to one or more of the following areas (based on your availability and giftings):
Tent Setup (large 40’ and smaller tents)
Interior Setup (lights, stage, chairs)

Help set up the main 40-foot tent. This includes unloading, assembling, and securing the structure before the event begins.
2. Smaller Tent Set-Up

3. Interior Tent Set-Up (Lights, Chairs, Stage)
Help arrange chairs, install lighting, and set up the stage inside the main tent.

5. Signage & Banners
Put up banners, sandwich boards, and directional signs around the tent and in town.
6. Security / Safety
Help monitor the area, manage crowd flow, and keep equipment safe during the event.
7. Outreach Team
Join a team that hands out flyers and invites people in the streets and community to the event.
8. Food Team
Help cook, serve, or clean up meals/snacks for volunteers or attendees, depending on the city.
9. On-Site Intercession
Pray on location during the event. A quiet, designated space will be provided.
10. Tear Down Crew (Nightly & End of Event)
Help pack up sound gear and tents each night and at the end of the weekend. Includes organizing and loading equipment.
11. Baptism Coordinator
Oversee and organize baptisms at the event. Includes set-up of the tank, towels, sign-ups, and coordination with the ministry team.
12. Altar Team

13. Church Connection Table

15. Runner (Follow-Up Assistant)

Weather-appropriate clothing (check weather forecast beforehand)
Bible, notebook, pen
Refillable water bottle
Snacks or food if needed (we will also be providing some for volunteers)
A heart ready to love and serve
This isn’t just an event — it’s an assignment. We are believing for entire families to be saved, the Church to be awakened, and cities to be transformed.
Please be praying in the days leading up to your city’s weekend. Come filled, come surrendered, and come expectant.
You’ll check in at the main tent volunteer table each day, get a lanyard
For questions or emergencies, contact your City Coordinator (listed in your city-specific email)
If unsure, you can always reach out to me directly
You said yes. Heaven is responding. This is not business as usual — it’s a moment of harvest.
Thank you for running with us.
Watch for your city-specific email the week of your event.
Let’s go see Jesus glorified across Vancouver Island.
