Intelligent Systems Lab & Automation Facility (ISLAF) was founded by Dr. Umar Farooq in 2008 as Research & Development Lab at the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, PU with the support of the then Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mujahid Kamran. ISLAF has a rich history of rigorous training of undergrad students which enabled them to win several technical awards for PU in various exhibitions and conferences held across the country. Moreover, ISLAF's Alumni are pursuing higher studies or engaged in research at world's leading universities such as ETH Zurich, Monash University Australia, Aaltoo University, Dalhousie University, KFUPM and others. They are also serving local and foreign industries in various capacities. Today, ISLAF has members and collaborators from across the globe who are contributing towards its success.
