About me

I am Ishika, a Ph.D. research scholar at the Educational Technology department of IIT Bombay. Educational Technology is an interdisciplinary program (IDP-ET) started in the year 2010.

With a bachelors and masters degree in Education, where I understands the needs of teacher education for improving teaching-learning process for teachers through integration of ICT in their practices, I am now working towards improving the teaching- learning experience for pre-service and in-service teachers in India. 

My current research work focuses on the scaffolding teachers in designing efffective learning designs. 

I onboarded this Ph.D. academic journey in the year 2021. I received Prime-minister research fellowship (PMRF) via lateral entry in the year 2021.

I am working under the guidance of Prof. Sahana Murthy

Short-Bio

Ishika is a Senior  Research Scholar in the IDP in the Educational Technology Department at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). She is awarded with  Prime minister research fellow. She holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil. in Education) from the University of Delhi and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. She has also been awarded a Junior Research Fellowship for her contributions to the field of education.

As a passionate teacher educator, Ishika implements a range of pedagogical strategies and new educational tools to train teachers. Ishika's expertise in teacher education has made her a big part of the Tulna project. She has played an instrumental role in developing and designing indexes to measure the quality of ed-tech products. Her contributions to the project have been widely recognized and appreciated by her colleagues and peers in the field of education.
