Doctoral student at Nonlinear Physics Group

ISHII Hidemasa

Hi! I'm a doctoral student at Nonlinear Physics Group, the University of Tokyo. I work on constructing and analyzing coupled (random) dynamical systems models.

I have a strong interest in mathematical modeling of social phenomena that emerge through interaction among persons. My bachelor's thesis was related to behavioral economics and evolutionary game theory. I see a gap between mathematical works on social topics (e.g. social physics) and social sciences (e.g. sociology). I am particularly motivated to fill that gap.

I worked on the question ``Does social interaction enlarge / ameliorate inequality?'' by developing and anlyzing dynamical systems models in my master's thesis.
