Be a room parent!

Room Parent Coordinator: Rebecca Gallo

Invest in your child's classroom by supporting their teacher! A room mom or dad is a volunteer who helps out in their child’s classroom by facilitating communication between the teacher and other parents in the class, coordinating classroom volunteers, and helping out with classroom events. 

Room Parent Duties: Help plan and carry out the two classroom parties - the Fall Party on Tuesday, October 31st, and the Spring Party on Wednesday, February 14th. 

Suggested party tasks:

1. Talk to the Teacher about rules or guidelines for the party.

2. Double-check to see if student numbers or allergies have changed.

3. Create and send out a sign-up sheet for the party.

4. Come in on the party day to set up and clean up afterward.

Other extras to help celebrate and support your child's teacher:

1. Surprise the teacher on their birthday or another time with something special. Use the "Staff Favorites" page for gift inspiration! Click on the staff photo or name to be taken to their page.

2. Be aware of Teacher Appreciation Week in May and be ready to support events coordinated by the PTO.

3. Ask the teacher for volunteer opportunities in the classroom.

4. Check in with your teacher to see if classroom supply needs arise.
