Ausarian Religion

History

Asurianism is a Pan-African religion that initially started in ancient Egypt and was the basis for many Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism). With the colonization of Egypt and other parts of eastern Africa , Asurianism was forced out and replaced by Christianity. Though there were many who switched to Christianity, Asurianism never fully faded and is still practiced today.

What did Asurianism believe

Asurianism is the belief in the 11 divine laws and the indivisible duality of Self. The 11 divine laws are the laws that the universe, God, and humans follow. When learning about Asurianism there are many concepts that need to be established before being able to understand the full picture.

An example of one of the concepts is “What is God?” they break down Gods in three aspects -god's omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence. These concepts go deeper than I can comprehend but it gives me a better idea of what god really is.

The next concept that is fundamental to understand is what is indivisible duality. It means that what you perceive as a you, the individual, should be thought of as two entities. The first entity ,the upper Self, is the conscious which lack emotions and is where the “Will” lies and the lower Self is where the emotion lies and is ever-changing. The lower Self is the matter and energy.

The Asurianism belief of self aims to harmonize the self but looks to base life off the upper Self because if you base right and wrong off the lower mind then your perception of morality will be in constant conflict.
