Social service

• ONGC Contributed a lot during GAJA CYCLONE in the year 2018 and ONGC gave me an opportunity to serve as a nodal officer, opening a new dimension about the condition of poverty and the need to support the downtrodden people.

• Hon'ble TN Governor Shri. Panvarilal purohit accoladed ONGC's CSR contributions and received an award of Honour on behalf of ONGC.

• He has nearly 39 years of teaching experience, from December 1974 to April 2013, when he retired from government services.

• He graduated in mathematics with distinction plus in the first batch of B.Sc. maths in the same college where he retired, viz., Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikkal.

• He post-graduated in math in 1974 with the college gold medal from AVC College, Mayiladuthurai.

• He got his M.Phil. degree in graph theory (on chromatic numbers) from Bharathidasan University in 1989.

• He completed his PGDCA in 1997 from Alagappa University Karaikudi.

• He has attended Orientation and Refresher Courses at Pondicherry University and BCM College Kottayam from CUSAT.

• He underwent all 4 modules in Diploma in Computer Applications Teacher Training Programme ( DCATTP) at Pondicherry Engg. College, each of 6 weeks duration, conducted by Dept. Of Electronics ( DOE) GOVT. Of India.

• He went on deputation as Deputy Controller of Examinations at Pondicherry University for a brief spell.

• He was Observer for Pondicherry University Exams in various Arts, Engg, and Medical colleges. He played an active role in getting a B.Sc Computer Science course and a new lab and classrooms block in the college.

• He contributed his mite towards NAAC inspection activities of Anna College which is the first college in the UT to go for accreditation.

• He helped the College Administration in admissions for more than 30 years in conducting University Exams at Pondicherry University and Alagappa University apart from coordinating the various Departmental Exams of the Government of Puducherry.

• He was a member of the Board of Studies in Mathematics at Pondicherry University for more than 6 years until his retirement.

• He was a question paper setter and examiner at AVC College (Autonomous) for more than 3 years.

• For more than 11 years he was the Resource Person of the Pre Examination Coaching Center of the Department of Education, Govt. Of Puducherry in training plus 2 students for CENTAC and other Competitive Engineering Entrance Exams like IIT JEE etc.

• He was also a resource person for the Department of Education's programmes for training teachers from primary to higher levels.

• He conducted quiz programmes for the Cooperative Department. Apart from this, he has helped the College, as well as the District Administration in various activities, particularly the General Elections to Civic, Assembly and Parliamentary elections under various capacities like Sector Officer, Master Trainer of Election Officials and Counting and post-election data, compiling

• He offered his services to the District Administration at various levels during the Sani Peyarchi process at Thirunallar, tsunami relief, drought relief, and cyclone relief operations.
