I am the eldest of four siblings born in Valladolid (Spain). I completed a BA in Translation studies at the University of Salamanca, a D.E.A. at Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle and a PhD at Aix-Marseille University. In 2015, I was hired as a tenured professor in Mulhouse.   

Before that, I worked as a journalist for local and national Spanish newspapers, as a teacher at the Instituto Cervantes in Naples (Italy) and as a postdoc in Singapore. During my studies, I served in some pubs in Salamanca and Old Trafford (Manchester), and in a pizzeria in Noailles (Marseille).
